ROMAN VILLA ANTIOPA IN RINCON DE LA VICTORIA

On 19.12.2022, 20 years after its discovery, the Roman Villa Antiopa opened its doors. The coplex, which dates from the 3rd-4th centuries, is considered one of the best preserved in Andalusia. The mosaic of the villa is very well preserved. The museum explains the different rooms very nicely. There are also interactive videos in German, English and Spanish.

Garum
The fish sauce, which was very popular in the Roman Empire, was made next to Villa Antiopa. This sauce was an ancient Maggi sauce and served as a flavour enhancer.
In the museum, the production process is explained interactively. As a novelty, you can also "smell" the smells of the different fish sauces.
There is also a small museum shop
